Little Brown Doggie is a small but professional dog walking & pet sitting service based in South Durham with an excellent reputation for providing dog walking, cat sitting & pet care services. Established in 2012, we offer experienced and trustworthy care for most animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, small furries, reptiles, pet birds, pigeons, chickens and more.

We are fully insured, CRB checked and hold canine first aid qualification certificates.

Dog Walking

Using a professional dog walker is an excellent way to keep your dog active, healthy and socialised, and Little Brown Doggie can provide care and solutions that your dog will love!

Everybody’s circumstances are different, and there are many reasons why professional dog walking may be right for you and your dog.

 

A change of job, long work hours or working shifts may mean that your dog is alone for many hours at a time. An operation, illness or injury may mean that you are now struggling to provide exercise for your dog. Professional dog walking can also be really helpful if your dog is displaying undesirable behaviour at home such as chewing, barking or aggression.

 

Puppy Visits

 

You’ve got your new puppy, and you’ve taken some time off work to settle him or her in, but now you have to go back to work?! When the time comes for you to start leaving your puppy home for longer periods of time, we can take over with the wee wee’s, snacks and entertainment!

Once your puppy has had all of his or her vaccinations, we can gently help with calm, happy and positive exposure to all of the things puppy will need to get used to as an adult dog.

Welfare Visits

Suitable for older dogs who may require more gentle or special care, pets requiring medication, or rescue dogs with specific needs.

Welfare visits are tailored specifically to your pets needs.

Cat Sitting / Pet Sitting

Having somebody coming in to care for your cat is an excellent alternative to putting your pet into a cattery, Cats are always happier cared for in their own environment, and using a cat sitter can even be more cost effective if you have several cats or other pets.

We are so happy when cats are friendly and want strokes and attention, but if your cat is shy and timid, we leave it up to them if they want to come to see us! We respect all of the animals we work with, and so everything is on their terms and to keep them happy!

We also offer pet sitting for all small furries, and we are experienced with many kinds of birds.

We are happy to care for and are experienced with birds and animals on allotments.

So if you are going to be away from home for any reason, Little Brown Doggie offers flexible options for pet care, with regular updates for your peace of mind.

 

Sleepovers Overnight Petcare In Your Home 

When you need to leave your dog, but home boarding or kennels just isn’t an option, having somebody come to stay in your home with your pets can be the ultimate solution. We were first asked to do sleepovers by our regular dog walking clients, and we now offer this very personal but professional pet care service to everyone!
